“Free Moments on The Go” by Harsha Ravindran (2016)

Taking your work with you while you’re on the go!

I recently had a conversation with a friend of mine who said that she didn’t have much time to work on her goals. She complained that she spent most of her time traveling around using public transport or hitching a ride to get places; that she doesn’t get the chance to sit down at one place and get her work done. She also said that it would be heavy to lunge her laptop and textbooks around with her since she’d be moving around quite a lot.

Then I asked her why she doesn’t just do her work while she is travelling. She could be working on her goals while she was in the car or waiting for the bus. She replied again that carrying all her stuff around was troublesome and tiring.

But that got me thinking, do you really need a bag full of heavy stuff in order to work on your goals? Well most of the time, no.

I related to her the things that I did to work on my goals while I was out and the tools and tricks I used to keep me focused on my goals even though I was not at home to use my laptop or read my textbooks. She was pretty taken aback because I didn’t think she could be doing work while she was out. And so, I decided to share with you guys some of the things that I do to work on my goals while I’m not at home.

Firstly, when you’re out and around, I think the easiest way to be productive is to get an app which either takes notes or lets you write stuff on it. These kinds of apps do wonders for me. It helps me to take down notes from my classes or at home, so that I have something to read or look at while I am on the go. Also, they really help when you need to jot down an idea or get an idea down quickly and you don’t have anything to write on. It’s basically like having Word or Memopad on your phone. And,there are many cool things that you can do with it to help you be more productive!

For me, I use it to write or edit articles while I’m not at home, make lists of things I need to do, take notes in classes or meetings, when I need to do research and etc. You wouldn’t believe how helpful it can be until you use it! It opens a wide range of things you can do with your phone that you don’t need your computer for. Many people would argue that it’s hard to type on their phones and everything, but you never actually know until you try it out for yourself.

Another thing, find goal-related websites or videos that you could either read or watch offline. This is also something which doesn’t seem like a big deal but it, too, helps a lot. Doing this while you’re out travelling helps you have something goal-related to focus on even while you aren’t at home. You can still learn things from these videos or articles that might help you come up with new ideas. Plus, you’d be occupying your time wisely!

Lastly and something which people don’t really think about is, you can just pop in your goal recording into your ears and think and read biographies or life stories about other successful people in your field. I know it might sound a bit odd but it actually helps a lot! It gives your Subconscious Mind info to process about your goals and to find ways about how you can be successful in your goals too! It is definitely goal-related and it gives you and your Sub a better picture of how you want your success to be!

So these are just some goal related things that I do while I’m not at home and out and about. Don’t forget to experiment with other apps and ways that could possibly solve your problems and help you be productive. Find out what works for you!
