“Little Obstacles” by Harsha Ravindran (2016)

Spotting Your Sub’s tricks in the Beginning Stages.

Obstacles, they are bound to appear on your journey towards your goals. And even though most of them seem huge and unconquerable, in reality, most of these super hard to overcome obstacles are actually little things.

Most obstacles are in fact, small things which to us seem like brick-walls on our path to success; especially at that moment in time. For example, you are writing down important notes for your work/ school notes and stuff and suddenly your mug of coffee at the corner of your desk magically falls over, tipping hot coffee all over your notes, making them unrecognisable and ruined!!!

At that time, you’d probably feel super demotivated and annoyed. Even if you are aware that it is just a trick of your Subconscious Mind, at first it will still be pretty hard not to get upset. But if you really think about it, it isn’t really a big deal. The fact that you have to re-do it can be a little frustrating, but once you’re famous and successful, are you really going to remember the one time you accidently spilled your coffee on your notes? I doubt it.

So why does it seem like a big deal in the first place then? Why do small obstacles often appear as huge resistances? Well as I said before, it’s normally a trick of your Subconscious Mind (www.ascendancepro.com). These small obstacles are normally used by your Mind to either make you slowly give up or get your emotions to go wild.

If you slowly give up, even if it is just a small task, your Mind just won a battle. For example, I woke up this morning and wanted to write an article (This article that you are reading right here). I decided to write it after doing some work that I need the Internet for. But my sister was already using our laptop. So, I went to find another laptop or device I could use. I found another laptop only to see that it could not connect to the Internet. So after trying various methods to enable the Wifi, I was just about to give up when I had a brilliant idea.

I asked my sister for help! And apparently I just needed to press this one button to get the Wifi working. And so I did my stuff and wrote this article, ta-da! But if I hadn’t asked her for help, I would probably not have written this article. If I had given up, over the small obstacle of not having Wifi, I wouldn’t have gotten any work done and probably the next time I wanted to write an article, a similar situation would occur. Another thing is, I would have gotten frustrated.

So that brings us to the second reason why our Minds use these small obstacles to derail us, to get us upset or emotional. When we get emotional, we send out really powerful vibrations that attract to us more emotional situations. (The Law of Vibrations and Attractions- www.ascendancepro.com)

Slowly, as the intensity of these emotional or frustrating situations increase, we will be too busy being in it and dealing with all those emotions instead of working on our goals. When we get engulfed in those emotions, our goal repetition would also drop which in turn would cause our productivity rate to reduce. It’s a ripple effect that just starts with small obstacles which can actually be easily overcome, but instead transform into bigger problems. Like a spell for disaster, it starts small but ends up derailing us if not managed properly in the beginning stages.

End your Sub’s tricks while they’re still small.
