Putrajaya, 8th January 2018 – The Ministry of Education in collaboration with Ascendance Sdn Bhd, launched the ‘Ace It Easy’ pilot programme in 10 secondary schools in Selangor today. The launch was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Education I, YB Dato’ P. Kamalanathan.
‘Ace It Easy’ is a programme developed by students for students, and it is conducted through a peer-to-peer guidance to engage students who are disengaged to be successful in school and in life. This programme will be conducted in schools from January to April 2018.
“This is a very interesting and unique programme because it is developed and conducted by students for students. Who can relate to the students better than students themselves? The programme also touches on the holistic development of a child along intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical dimensions as reflected in the National Education Philosophy,” said Kamalanathan.
This programme is also in line with the Malaysian Education Blueprint 2013 – 2025 to develop value driven Malaysians with strong universal values and leadership skills that they can use in their own lives as well as for the community and the nation.
The objective of this program is to engage students who have the potential to succeed but are disengaged. The program provides the platform for these students to explore the skills they are good at, discover their passion, relate that passion to their studies and achieve excellent results in their examinations. The programme introduces the power of goal setting and utilising the subconscious mind to achieve the goals the students want in their life.
The high achieving, results oriented young team at Ascendance are a living proof of the above programme that youngsters too can set and achieve goals while still excelling in their examinations. Having excelled in their studies and life, they have taken up a noble deed to share this success with other students who wish to excel in life as well.
This programme is sponsored by private companies and organisations who saw the potential of the youngsters from Ascendance Sdn Bhd in impacting the lives of other students as well as developing the community and the next generation of Malaysia.
